Making stones

These are the tools I use to make stones. I mentioned I would do a tutorial in an earlier post so now here I am. Just cut out your rock shape and sponge the edges in your "rock colors". The stipple tool I used is from clote to my heart but get creative and find something around the house with a bristly texture. Ink it up and pounce it onto the stone.

Stampers group 1 Project

This is another version of a faux cloisine technique. I will explain in better detail at a later date, maybe with tutorial. Watch for it!! The girls will also be learning how to make custome envelopes tonight too!

Scrapaganza Make and Take

Hi Yall! Well I am back from scrapaganza 6 in Stonewall! What a blast! Those women are crazy! I guess though, they are all probably saying that about me too! These tile coasters were a make and take they had there that was included in the registration fee. I love them, I want to make more! They were so easy too. Pick a line art image, stamp on the tile with Stazon ink and color the image in with sharpie markers. Keep in mind when you color the image use pale markers on porous tiles. They really soak up the ink and it can go dark. you can create subltle shadows by taking a darker color and making a line or a few dots in a shadow area and blending it into the base color with the base color marker. When you are done, modge podge the whole thing and podge some cork pads onto the bottom and voila, awesome gift! Thanks ladies for the great idea!

Croaked!

I hopped on over to Iris's blog and found this awesome sketch. This is my version of it. I know, some people would be scandalised by this especially if the person was REALLY sick. I have to say though I would laugh my face off if I got this one even if I came close to CROAKING! Thanks Iris! I am looking at this and realising that mushrooms grow on dead rotten stuff. Oh boy this one is thick with undertones. Food for the mushroom huh. Gotta laugh!

Rockin Dino

This is actually my second try at this card. The first one just wasn't cutting it for me but I loved the idea of the homemade rocks and play on words. Corry actually is working here with me right now and we laughed our heads off over how often I grabbed my sponges. I realise now that I am the SPONGING QUEEN! I have to say though it is the only way to get subtle proffessional looking transitions from one element to another. Corry had to admit that the carple tunnel and tendonitis was worth it!!!! By the way the stone texture was made with the black stubble texture tool from CTMH. I have had it for months and never used it, now LOVE IT!

Ms. on the go

Well, here I am finally! I have been so crazy busy lately that I have barely had any time to stamp! I was going into withdrawl!!! Not to mention that I have recently recieved half a dozen new stamp sets that I was staring at every chance I got. They were calling to me from across the house. This set, Ms. on the go was one of them. It's a really cute set. Corry and I were looking at them thinking how much better they all look in person. Anyhoo you will all get to see them at our next club night. New catalogues were shipped yesterday YEAH!

Group 2 project

This is my advanced version of a penny roller. I just had to take it a step further and make it twirl in a circle. It was a hit and lots of fun. The girls really went to town with it and made the cards thier own. I wish I had my camera there so I could have took some pics.

Wedding favor boxes

One of my stamp group members came up with these wedding favor boxes. We had a request from one of our members for invitation and favor ideas for her daughter's wedding ( she is marrying my nephew!). Thanks Nikki for the great ideas!
