Lovely wishes

This is a card I designed for Making Handmade Cards. The kit I used is called refresher. I really like it because the colors were so fresh and vibrant. There were butterflies in the kit that I actually cut up to use as the petals for the flower. The alphabet buttons were in the kit as well as the background paper. Another thing I like about these kits is there is no running out of a certain paper, you just print more! Go check out there site HERE.

No cards again!!!

My sister calls me up last night at 10:00. "What are you doing right now?" I tell her "I just had a bath and I'm gonna lay down and relax and then go to bed." Then I ask her why, DUHHHHH! My nephew is graduating today, left his escort's wrist coursage to the last minute, asks mom to pick one up in the city before she heads out here (like it's so easy). Florists tell her tommorrow, which of course is too late. She runs over to Micheals and picks up the stuff she needs, including the structures(bracelet) to construct it with, but the girl who works there tells her that the bracelet is for bouquets! So she comes with elastic, flowers, and the wire beads. We scour the internet for how to's and realise she had the right stuff, doesn't now so we have to come up with something. Low and behold packrat, painter come beader and seamstress has a basement full of stuff to choose from. I made a slinky laid flat wire base. I stiffened it by wrapping the tiny wires on the bead things around areas and wired some flowers to it. I finished it by adding more flowers by piercing the flowers with wire, poking them through the flowers that were already wired on and then back through another flower to hid the wire. I have NO idea if the thing is still alive this morning! We drenched it and put it in a baggie in the fridge. The ribbon I used to hide the elastic on the side, and the left over flowers were my payment! The ribbon roll was a mega so there has to be a good 10 yards on it, and I love my nephew so the payment is sufficient! More goodies to pack rat away!

The image is from a card I made a long time ago and didn't like so I cut it out and revamped it! I don't even have this stamp set anymore, I gave it to my mother-in-law! Hope she is enjoying it! My crazy Day!

Well, no pictures of lovely cards for you today! What I do have is a crazy day story for you. So I had two appts. in wpg. today. Doctor and web designer. I have to borrow dads car because hubby is fixing the rust on ours and it's all taken apart at the back. I leave at 8:00am while kids are screaming in the house because they have to get ready for the bus. Get to doctors office and it's standing room only. Get into Dr.s office tell him about my symptoms over the weekend and he hustles outside to get masks and sanitizer blah blah. I hear the assistant outside muttering something about why I didn't say anything didn't I see the sign! There was a tiny sign under the front counter where everyone stood in line! Ahem, PLEASE PUT THESE ONES ON THE DOOR AS YOU ENTER THE BUILDING! Tells me I have presented with the classic flu smptoms and need to be tested for posterity really, because if I were going to die of this I would be dead before the test gets back. I'll just be one of the #s if it's positive. I'll get a shirt made "I SURVIVED THE SWINE FLU EPIDEMIC!" I had to squirt the sanitizer on my own hand with my elbow and I squirted it all over my poor Dr.s pants! So he tells me I am to stay home for 7 more days, no one can come over, even though I feel fine, so I guess I'll have to make a ton of cards!!!!!!!!!!!

I leave there with my lovely mask on with all the masses in the waiting room staring at me, death gripping thier children! I get out rip the mask off and go shopping everywhere, coughing all over everyone! Just kidding!!! I left Wpg. no more meeting after Dr.s appt. and in my dazed confusion over what just happened left the city forgetting to get gas! Run out of gas half way home, have to call hubby to put car back together and bring me gas! BTW it was about 30 degrees out today! Got home, cancelled appts. for tonight and now have everyone worry about me. Funny how every other flu or cold doesn't matter, they still want you to cook and clean up after them, but now that I am over it practically and they think it might be swine flu they are all concerned. C'est la vie right!

Hey yayyyyy I got an award for having a really creative blog. I decided that since I am soooo LAME and no one else will give me one, I am giving myself one! Oh thank you thank you ME! I would just like to thank a few people. I would like to thank the academy for giving me this award, (that's me too) and my friends and family for allowing me to neglect them enough to make a ton of forgettable cards that no one wants to give me an award for. I would also like to thank my computer for letting me copy this blog award picture to it's c drive so that I could splash it around my blog and make myself look really really GOOOOOOOOOD. I am glad that I recognised all the long hours of work and the intense dedication I have. It's such hard work to be this pathetically undervalued and if you got even half as much of a laugh from this as I did feel free to leave me a word of encouragement! For those of you who really know me, I know you're laughing too, those of you who don't, I'm only kidding and I really didn't earn this award at all! I sure did get a good laugh though!

Cute Card Thursday Nip and Punch

Here is my entry for this weeks CCT challenge, nip and a punch. you are supposed to use your punches and diecuts this week . I used my semi-new sm. scallop rect. nesties. I say semi new because I got them a couple months ago but have barely used them. Not sure why? The really special part of this one is that I used a stamp that I recieved from my good friend Glitterbabe. Thanks again lovee!!! I hope she thinks I did her gift justice. As usual, lots of sponging! That's me the sponge queen!

Cute Card Thursday/Friday sketchers entry

I decided since I am sooooo wickedly busy to combine two challenges in one. Friday sketchers was the sketch of course and CCT was to put blingies and sparklies. I know I am sparse with the sparklies but I just felt it was enough the way it was. I did the mirror image and I hope that was OK, it just worked out better for my sentiment. I didn't really anticipate the card moving in such an earthy/ rustic romantic way. Does that make any sense? Oh well, I like the way it turned out either way. Hope you enjoy too.
