Sponsoring Sweet sketch Wednesday

Good morning everyone!

Just wanted to pop in and let you all know that I am sponsoring Sweet Sketch Wednesday this week.

Here is my take on their sketch.

Now I know you are thinking, "something looks different here." Yes, this is one of my images called In the Garden and yes I printed it. So where are the black lines? HE HE!

I opened the file in photoshop and reduced the opacity so that it was just a pale greyline image. I printed it onto watercolor paper, Arches 150lb cold pressed, and watercolored it with watercolor paint. I just had to color it in, no smearing because the print lines were so soft they just get lost in the image.
You can see how pale it was by the signature.

Hope you like it!

I noticed immediately that there were no black lines and wondered how you did that. This is totally fabulous! I will have to try that as I haven't been able to master water coloring digis.

How clever Roberta!!! As I'm rubbish with clever programmes, I think I'll try it with just printing in 'draft' quality and see how that turns out.
Your watercolouring is brilliant, as is your card.
