Sponsoring DCD Christmas challenges

Well, it is end of the month again and as usual I am sponsoring over at DCD Christmas club challenges. The theme this week, chosen by me is DIGITAL CHRISTMAS. I have used one of my digital images for my card called POLAR PALS. This is going to throw you off though because I was a little sneeky....

OK, I know you are asking, how was I sneaky. Well, here is the absolute beauty of digital stamps! I took the Polar pals image, put it into photoshop (you can do this in paint too), cropped the image so that only one of the penguins was still in there and then I used my eraser tool to erase the little bits of the eskimo fairy out. Once I had my "new" image ready, I resized it bigger to fit my card and then printed it off! Yep, whole new card from one image. LOVE IT! Here is the image in full:

Here is a close up:

I colored this up with my prismas, used crystal stickles on the edges, made the pin and.......... used my BRAND NEW TOY!!!

Yep, I got a cricut. Why? Well dagnabbit it is so much fun (never thought I would love it so much) AND I am going to be making SVG cutting files for it! Soon to be in the store! wahooooo!

Here is a pic of the section I cut out for my card which was so easy cause my card base was 6" so I cut it 5 3/4 " and voila! Perfect fit! I can even reuse the center piece.

I have resisted buying the darn thing cause I always thought "as if I am going to spend all that money buying those cartridges!" NOW I realize just how much is on a cartridge and the fact that I can cut any "diecut" I have (or create) any size I want from 1/2" up to 12" high and 24" long!!!! I mean holy creamoly! I seriously LOVE this thing!

I am going to enter my card into the following challenges:

Papertake weekly Sparkly and bright

Spoonfull of sugar diecuts and punches (I used two different nesties)

Fussy and Fancy winter wonderland

frosted designs use Diecuts

Paper Gardens holiday cards

10 presents to open!:

Thanks Vicky! I have the expression and I LOVE IT! The cartridge I used came with it and it is called Accent Essentials. You can use any digi stamp you like for the challenge but the card has to be a Christmas card. You can click on the DCD link in my post to go to the blog for more details.

Have a great weekend Vicky!

Just Gorgeous Roberta, I just love this little adorable snowball. Fabulous job on Lori's blog, I love it and the other ones you've been creating, what a talented gal you are. I'll have to get you to have a look at mine sometime soon, it seriously needs some freshening up. Maybe after the big C or something
