The winter cottage

Yes, I am still here. An absentee blogger, a fly by night painter, an occasional house cleaner. The last being the lowest of my priorities. I would far rather do things that I love, with those that I love. Life is so rare and wonderful and precious. A miraculous gift. I often marvel at the chain of events that rolls along inside of us each day, while we toddle along on our merry or sometimes not so merry ways. Each cell, a little part of an unbelievable miracle that goes on and on.

Some things we should keep in mind while enjoying the holiday season.

Forgive those who have hurt you, they need your love more than you probably realize.
Close your computers, turn off your phones, curl up on the couch with your loved ones and share stories of your adventures and dream together of adventures yet come. Be still and listen, to those blessed souls you were so lucky to have been graced with. Savor every moment so you have more memories to share later.
While in a holiday line up at a store this week, talk to those near you and send them a dazzling smile, no matter how late or how long you have been standing there. If you don't know what to say, just smile as big as you can. At the very least you will get to laugh at their possibly panicked reaction as to why you would be smiling at them! If you are done, go to a personal care home and spend some time with a lonely senior or two or go hand out a meal to a homeless person. Give them a dazzling smile too.

I have created a warm and cozy little winter cottage.

This is a free download that I am offering.
At this moment, someone dear to me is fighting an epic battle. A brave warrior, ready to conquer the odds. Odds that are continuously improved by the Canadian Cancer Care society.

In exchange for this free file, I would love it if you could do two things for me. If you can only do one or the other that is fine too.

1. If you could make a donation for the image above that would be great. 100% of the donated money will go to the Canadian Cancer Care society. DONATION BUTTON IN THE SIDEBAR

2. For those of you who believe in the power of prayer and sending out positive energy into the universe, say a prayer and send out that energy for all those fighting cancer, and do it every day.

If you could also spread the word on your blogs as well that would be great! We could use as many positive thoughts and prayers as we can get.

I will send the proceeds in January to the Canadian Cancer Care Society, and I have even put up a $'s raised chart in the sidebar so you can see how much we have raised. If you can give anything at all that would be wonderful.

Biggest hugs and best wishes for a wonderful holiday season.

xoxo
the fairy

Update: I am having issues with the site not attaching a download link to your invoice. I have created a sharing folder at 4shared to resolved this problem and the file is now available to

THANK YOU so much to all those who have already donated, I will update the chart at the end of each day. XOXOXO!

Good morning, sorry to say that I don't have any pennies at the moment spare and haven't had for quite a while now. If I had I would gladly purchase one of your wee houses, it is very special. But I am very sure that positive thoughts and sending out energy to those that are needing is something that we can all do, so I will be more than happy to think of those who need to heal, as often as I can. Blessings to you all, Heidix

Thank you for the beautiful image!!! I am a 2-time cancer survivor and know the only reasons why I am here today were the prayers and positive thoughts. My prayers go out to all those suffering from cancer or any other life changing health challenges.

Thank you for the wonderful cottage. Of course I will donate at least what that digi should cost if I had bought it! Makes me sad to read that one thinks 3CD are too much to donate, that is what an ice creame cost here in Sweden anyway. Me too have medical bills and payments and am not high payed and 3 students at home to support so I'm not rich but anyway I donate. Sadly, it helps not only with prayers, research requires money. Sry to hear about your friend Roberta! I don't have any in my surroundings with cancer but I work with health care and sees alot...

Merry Christmas to my Fairy
