Hannah is back with another AMAZING digital editing idea that will knock your socks off!

Welcome to another digital tutorial at the Prairie Fairy Stamp Blog! Today I used the Pilot Gillian digital stamp by Prairie Fairy Designs as my main embellishment.
One thing that held me back for so long with digital scrapbooking, is I really liked the look of the traditional pages I was making. More specifically, I liked the depth and dimension I could create on a traditional page. One of the most basic ways I use to get that look is to ink the edges of the papers that I use. After playing around in Photoshop for a while, I found a way to get the same look! This isn't the only way to make it happen, but it's quick and easy!
The program I'm using is Photoshop CS5.
So I'm going to show you how to "ink" the edges of this piece of paper.
We're going to use the Burn Tool. You'll find it on the toolbar on the left. I have mine set to 58% Exposure
The tool will look like a circle. You just run the mouse along the edge of your paper. You can see the difference here where I have just run it along the top of the page.
Finish burning the edges of all your papers. The nice thing about using the burn tool as opposed to a brush is that you don't have to worry about changing the colour. The burn tool just darkens what's there. Now, go back to the full page view and have a look at the balloons. I gave them more dimension by using the burn tool around the ovals!
